VERTICAL DROP

The Vertical Drop is an annual ski/snowboard competition and fundraiser put on by the Silver State Hotshots wildfire suppression crew. The event was held at Diamond Peak ski resort in beautiful Lake Tahoe, which inspired my design for the event poster and apparel.

I created a hanging mobile illustration that combined the shape of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra mountains, forming a fireman’s helmet with the fiery glow of the sunset reflecting off the lake, and a snowboarder descending in the snow below.
